Excellent value : Dorman 911-604 Toyota Vacuum Switching Valve
The product connectivity is within toyota standards and in an excellent shape.
After diagnosing my EGR system after the P0401 error code showed up, I figured out that the original EGR valve and the EGR modulator in the car are good and the VSV is faulty.
Changed it for $40 for a 1999 4WD RAV4 and saved about $500.
It controls when and how much vaccum should be applied to the EGR valve to open and close.
To reach its location,You have to take off the right wheel and it'd better if you have a helper with you.
